A rare case of ?

This is an Egyptian female infant. She was born in our institute through normal vaginal delivery. She had velvet haemangiomata scattered over her body, even on the vocal cord.

Chest x-ray showed right superior mediastinal mass. (Xray chest)

Midsternal thoracotomy revealed a rounded firm mass between the right internal and external carotid arteries.

It was a mobile mass with a pedicle at the bifurcation of right common carotid artery.

The lesion was removed completely. Images of operative specimen  (The mass) - (Cut section)
