Bronchogenic Carcinoma

Central Type

A huge lesion arising from hilum of the left lung. It is surrounded by lymphangitis carcinomatosus ( due to obstruction of the lymphatics). It takes other direction than that of the broncho- pulmonary markings.

Peripheral type

Pancoast type

Lesion of the posterior segment  of the upper lobe of the right lung leading to its collapse.

There was significant pain radiating along the right upper limb and supra-scapular region. It is due to irritation of the brachial plexus and the upper intercostal nerves.
